Welcome to our 22 Youth Cricket Program - Winnipeg Canada.

Maples Youth Cricket program. The youth Indoor cricket program will be commencing on Sat Nov 18 2023 to Sat April 20 2024.

The Indoor program will from 9.30 am to 12.30pm a total of 3 hours.

This year all registration fees must be register at the Maples Community Center. You will need to contact Karminder email This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.

The registration fees is for one year and it's for both indoor and outdoor. Your registration fees cover your insurance, renting the Elwick Cricket Ground from the city and administrations.

If you are unable register at Maples CC, we can assist you when you when attend both the indoor and outdoor cricket program.

Dear Members,

Most of you are aware by now that the Government of Manitoba has declared the month of July as Caribbean Heritage month.

In celebration of our Cultures and our contributions to Manitoba, the Council of Caribbean Organizations of Manitoba, have planned a calendar of events for the month of July 2023.

The first will be the opening ceremonies which will be held on Saturday 1st July at the Caribbean Community Cultural Centre 1100 Fife St. from 10am to 12 noon. Apart from the official opening a real Caribbean Breakfast will be served for only $10.00.

On July 14th. from 6pm a reception will be held at the Legislative Building, anyone interested in attending. please call Joe at 204-275-2466 by July 7th. to secure your space.

Here is a very good event to bring back that Carnival style events of the past like CariPeg to Winnipeg again. Good warm up to Caribbean Heritage Month in July 2023 here in Winnipeg Manitoba. TnT Society Wpg & CCOM would like to thank Red River EX for their support in hosting Caribbean Day 2023.

Dear members,

The Trinidad and Tobago Society of Winnipeg Inc. is once again inviting you to attend our annual Christmas party. This event will be held on Saturday December 10, at the Cultural Centre, 1100 Fife from 1pm to 5pm.

This year instead of a potluck, we will be catering our dinner. There will be no admission fee, but members are encouraged to give a donation at the door. We will also take this opportunity to renew membership for those of you who have not already done so.

Please let us know if there are children in your household under the age of twelve since we expect a visit from Santa who will provide them with a gift.

We will very much appreciate a call from you to confirm your attendance.

The Trinidad and Tobago Flag raising is on August 31st 2022 at The City Hall of Winnipeg Canada from sunrise to sunset.

The Honorary Consul of Trinidad and Tobago in conjunction with The Trinidad and Tobago Society of Winnipeg

and The Deputy Mayor of Winnipeg Mr. Chambers, flag raising will be at 8.45 am with a small reception at 9am.

Citizens and Friends of Trinidad and Tobago,

This is a very special time in our Nation’s history as we celebrate our Diamond Jubilee of Independence. As a country, we have punched well above our weight and made our mark in many spheres of life. This calendar of activities seeks to pay homage to several of those spheres of influence around the world, including art, cuisine, music, Carnival, sport and film. This event listing is a work in progress and revised editions will be released in the coming weeks. Event-specific flyers and information will also be circulated. CHRISTMAS GREETINGS 2021

Once again, as we approach the Christmas Season, on behalf of myself and the executive of the Trinidad and Tobago Society of Winnipeg Inc. I wish to extend to all of our members our best wishes for a Merry Christmas and a prosperous and healthy New Year.

Over the past twenty months, we all have been held hostage to the Covid 19 virus, which has precipitated changes in the running of organizations as a whole.

We the executive are committed to ensuring that the Trinidad & Tobago Society remains functional and vibrant by exploring ways in which we can interact with our members in a meaningful way, during this time of restrictions.

At present we are in the process of reactivating the phoning committee to ensure that everyone will be kept updated on any plans/activities of the organization. We trust you will be receiving a phone call from a member of this committee sometime in the new year.

The executive is now in the process of moving the monthly executive meetings to virtual, effective February 2022. Our members can now renew their membership online by going to our website www.tntwpg.com. Also, we hope to be participating in Folklorama 2022 providing the pandemic has abated and the restrictions are lifted.

During the past months we have lost some of our members, the latest of whom are Winston Jody, Karl Rambarran, Anirude Maharaj, and Esme Stewart. Unfortunately, due to the nature of the virus, we are unable to get together to pay our respects to these individuals; however, we extend our condolences to the family members and loved ones.

Once again, I wish you all a very merry Christmas season, and God’s blessings for the coming year.

Annual Family Christmas Gathering Dec 2021

We are working on holding our Annual Family Christmas Party / Gathering this year. The Tentative date for our members to reserve and promote is Saturday Dec 11 2021. We are hopeful with the progress of the COVID issues becoming better for everyone here in Manitoba in the next few months. We will be able to proceed with this event with a close to normal functionality as like past Christmas Events. Finalized details will be emailed & posted in mid November 2021.

We are also working on a few new Online Initiatives for The Trinidad and Tobago Society of Winnipeg.

Which will be helpful in maintaining our organization's presents in Winnipeg when completed.

In Celebration of Trinidad and Tobago's 59th year of Independence in 2021.

Our National Flag will be raised on Tuesday Aug 31st at the Winnipeg City Hall and will be flying from 6am to 6pm.

To mark this day of Celebration here in Canada.

IN CELEBRATION OF THE 59^th YEAR OF IDEPENDENCE OF TRINIDAD AND TOBAGO

On behalf of the executive of the Trinidad and Tobago Society of Winnipeg Inc., I take this opportunity to wish our members and fellow Trinidadians and Tobagonians a safe and happy Independence Day, as today marks our 59^th anniversary. My wish is that as the flag of our nation is raised each year at the City Hall in Winnipeg; that it will continue to instill pride in our hearts as nationals.

It is indeed a fact, that although we reside in Manitoba, we continue to have that sense of belonging and are always mindful of everything we as fellow countrymen/women can do for our homeland, to make it a place of wealth, peace, and prosperity.

As you will recall, the last two Independence Day celebrations were cancelled due to the Covid 19 pandemic, which continues to have a devastating effect throughout the world.

Here in the province of Manitoba, we are beginning to see the lifting of some restrictions, thanks to our leaders and the people of Manitoba who rolled up their sleeves and took the vaccination. To those of you who are still reluctant to do so, I encourage you to take the vaccination, wear your mask and please stay safe.

Once again let us continue to show our fellow Manitobans that we are a great people from a great nation, as we work towards the prosperity and betterment of our beloved Islands of Trinidad and Tobago.

It is now Mid August of 2021 and things are slowly opening up for larger numbers of attendees to public events, from the COVID Pandemic issues here in Winnipeg and Canada. We are looking forward to restarting our Programs and Events that have been on hold for the past 16 months. We are working on the following Programs and Events for the remaining months in 2021.

- Senior Citizens TnT Membership computer training program.

- Trinidad and Tobago Independence Day Flag Rising at City Hall on Aug 31 2021.

- Resuming our Annual Family Christmas Party in December of 2021.

- Plus future Events and Programs for 2022.

We hope to see everyone in person again to catch up with all of our friends and families, here in our very small Trinidad and Tobago Society here in Winnipeg. Stay safe and health everyone!!!
